How to measure for Custom Fit Leathers

Helpful hints for correct measurements
It is impossible to do these measurements yourself! Have a friend help you.

You need to measure yourself while wearing any clothing or products you intend to wear under your leathers. Eg. T-shirt, shorts, long johns, Kevlar suit, etc... anything you will wear under the leathers needs to be worn during measuring. This includes a back protector, kidney belt or knee brace. Same goes if you want to wear your boots under your leathers.

Do not allow any extra when measuring! We will add any additional cm’s if required according to whether you want the leathers tight, snug or loose fit.

To keep measurements uniform, you should mark yourself with a pen for reference points. Eg. Waist, hip, thigh, calf, etc..

Figure 1.
(1) Neck. Around the neck, just below the adams apple.
(2) Upper chest. Across front. Measure from an imaginary line where the arm and chest panels meet. Wearing a t-shirt may make this easier.
(3) Chest. With arms at your side, measure around the largest part of your chest. Make sure the tape is high under the arm pits when measuring. WOMEN:- see Figure 3a for chest measurements.
(4) Waist. This is usually where your navel is. Mark this point with a pen as a future reference point.
(5) Beltline. Around the waist where you belt sits. You may want to put on a pair of pants just to see where this point is, draw a mark and then measure without the pants and belt.
(6) Bicep. Measure around widest part with your arm tensed.
(7) Forearm. The widest part of your forearm with your arm tensed. This is usually about 5cm from the elbow.
(8) Wrist. Around wrist bone at centre of wrist.

(13) Sleeve length. From shoulder bone (same point as #12) to the centre of the wrist bone with your arm by your side.

Figure 4.
(14) Base of neck to wrist. With your fist clenched in front of you, keep arm parallel to your shoulder blade and measure from base of neck (where the vertebrae protrudes from the spine) to the wrist. Measure around the outside of the elbow.
(15) Neck to waist. Nape of neck (same as #14) to the waist (back).
(16) Neck to beltline (back). From the base of the neck (same point as #14) to the beltline.
